The Butler's viewFirstly, I was very pleased to be showing wines to a full house; it seems the January detox has avoided Hanover, Brighton. Overall, I was pleased with the wines; the customers who attended, however, were another kettle of fish! Grenache/Garnacha is often touted with having rustic charm, I'd concur with that but I don't see this as a negative point. There was plenty of flavour to be found across the flight of wines, nothing was bank breaking, the alcohol levels were fairly high but Grenache seems to require this to bring out a better wine. The main problem was keeping the wines warm on a very cold evening.
