The Agricola Marrone winery is based in the famous village of La Morra, Barolo. The family has been working in the area for 4 generations now, and have built a reputation for creating expressive and powerful wines.
This is a very traditional Barbera from vineyards in Madonna di Como, Alba. The wine shows red fruits of cranberry and cherry. It is juicy and fresh with a racy acidity, promoting a long finish. Although a lean wine, there is ripeness and a touch of sweet spice. Malolactic fermentation takes place in stainless steel before the refining process in French and Austrian oak barriques. The wine finishes it’s transformation in steel containers for 12 months before release.
