The Agricola Marrone winery is based in the famous village of La Morra, Barolo. The family has been working in the area for 4 generations now, and have built a reputation for creating expressive and powerful wines.
This is a very traditional Barbera from vineyards in Madonna di Como, Alba. The Carlot hills have a brilliant south-east exposure at 400m, with fully mature vineyards planted in 1988.
Rich red cherries, baking spices and a lovely food-friendly acidity make for a supremely drinkable wine. Long and persistent flavours, with a hint of dark chocolate on the finish.
