The origins of Bodegas Álvaro Domecq S.L. trace back to 1850 with the founding of Pilar Aranda Winery, which became one of the most esteemed producers in the Marco de Jerez. Pilar Aranda was a trailblazer, being the first female winemaker in the region and the first to be named Capataz de Honor at the Harvest Festival. In 1999, Álvaro Domecq Romero, a passionate advocate for local wines, took over the historic winery, honouring its deep-rooted traditions.

In 2007, Bodegas Álvaro Domecq joined Avanteselecta, a company dedicated to producing wines across Spain’s top regions, focusing on unique terroirs and native grape varieties. Despite this evolution, the winery remains committed to its Jerez heritage and a legacy of quality that has earned it global recognition, particularly in the British market.

Vartiety: 100% Palomino
Ageing: 30 years
Production: 1.000 bottles

Dark chestnut color and brilliant appearance. The nose is very intense with aromas of dried fruits and deep notes of wood and vanilla. In the mouth it is very intense, warm, and velvety, with notes of dried fruits, vanilla, wood and at the end, notes of licorice. Great persistence on the palate.

Pairs well with cured cheeses, game dishes such as partridge stew or Iberian cheeks. It also pairs perfectly with other meats such as bull tail and fish (red tuna loin).
