Based in East Sussex near Lewes and nestled in the South Downs, Artelium Wine Estate stylishy combines award winning wine, art and nature.
This 100% Chardonnay wine uses grapes from two plots in West Sussex. The vines are Burgundian clones grown on clay and Champagne clones grown on chalk. The grapes from these sites are blended to produce a light, white Burgundy influenced style of English wine.
There is no oak influence and this wine spends 5 -6 months on lees providing a weighty palate. It is well balanced with fresh citrus and lively mineral character. Long finish. A mouthwatering Chardonnay, ideal for an aperitif.
