At the historic estate of Château Thivin, the Geoffray family has created terroir-driven Gamay wines on Mont Brouilly’s ancient slopes since 1877. For the 2025 “Nouveau” bottling they bring their customary care and vineyard elevation to the festive early-release style, delivering something richer than your typical Nouveau while still brimming with youthful energy.
Harvested early in the 2025 season, the wine is made from 100% Gamay grapes grown on well-drained granite and diorite soils, trained traditionally and processed to preserve freshness and vitality. Once vinified, typically with partial whole-cluster ferment and careful handling, it is released just weeks after harvest to capture the spirit of Beaujolais Nouveau
The 2025 shows bright-ruby colour with youthful purple glints. On the nose you'll discover wild strawberry, raspberry sorbet, and cherry blossom, framed by a hint of tropical banana character typical of Nouveau. The palate is lively with raspberry ripple, red cherry, and a touch of white pepper, all wrapped in a crisp, clean acidity and soft, barely-there tannin.
Enjoy immediately with charcuterie, grilled pork, light pasta dishes or simply as an upbeat aperitif with good company.
