The Badoz family have been making wine in Jura since 1659, passing down traditional winemaking techniques and local know-how from father to son for more than 10 generations! Domaine Badoz is situated in Poligny, in the heart of the Jura vineyards. This is a hilly area in eastern France, known for it's great gastronomy.

Benoit left home to hone his craft, working in Puligny Montrachet and Ch Petrus in Pomerol, before returning home to carry on the Badoz family winemaking history. Benoit's father had set about replanting the vineyards in 1970, matching varietal to a suitable soil. When Benoit took over in 2003, he continued to make improvements in the vineyards and in the winery, resulting in some very impressive wines.

This is 100% Savagnin - a grape grown throughout the Jura region that produces some beautifully aromatic wines. There are small parcels of it found in other countries, but the Jura is its homeland. This is an unoxidised style (unlike many of the wines of the region), bone dry white. It’s spicy, rich, mineral and has an almost mushroomy character. It is very food friendly.
