This is a blend of Pinotage from the same vineyard as the Gothus wine, with a big chunk of organic Syrah. They generally refer to Syrah as Shiraz in South Africa, but the style of this wine has more european leanings. The wine is aged only in old oak not new. It comes from warm vineyards, so Pieter included stems during the production to balance the fruit with a firm structure. It is a fine, elegant wine with dark fruits, spice and black pepper, this is good now but we think this will age magnificently.
