Cà dei Maghi is a small estate nestled in the rolling hills of Valpolicella, near the vineyards close to the town of Fumane. The Fasoli Fedrigo family began their winemaking tradition in Negrar in the 1800s. In the 1950s, Granny Luigina and Grandpa Fernando started producing wine at Cà Dei Maghi, while also establishing ‘Rama,’ now the family’s agritourism. Today, Mari, Giovanna, Paolo, and Ivana continue the family’s wine and culinary heritage.
This Recioto della Valpolicella 2016 shows a deep ruby color and offers focused aromas of ripe cherry, dried plum, and subtle sweet spice. The palate is rich and velvety, with concentrated red-fruit sweetness balanced by enough acidity to keep it lively. Fine tannins add structure without heaviness. The finish is long, driven by lingering cherry and a touch of spice, showing both sweetness and clarity. It’s expressive, balanced, and still has room to evolve.
