Beginning in 1850 with an osteria serving Southern Italian wines, the Pirovano family business has developed into an Italy-wide producer and bottler of wines. Still in the family, they have a commitment to sustainability at all levels, from vineyard management to packaging and transport.
The Beatrice wines come from the sun-drenched vineyards of Puglia, where late-ripening red varieties flourish.
Deep purplish red, the Nero di Troia is packed with rich dark fruits, blackberry and cherry jam. Full-bodied, with smooth tannins and hints of bitter chocolate and liquorice alongside the bold fruit. An excellent pair for braised lamb shanks and other rich hearty dishes.
