Located on the boundary of the prestigious Margaux appellation, Cambon La Pelouse counts world-famous estates such as Giscours, La Lagune and Château du Tertre among its close neighbours. The property has been shipping its wine to the UK since the 17th century and owes much of its reputation to its success among the British wine trade. Undeniably one of the best wines in the Médoc, the style and quality of Cambon La Pelouse is now enjoying the international success it deserves.
In the deliciously gourmand and balanced 2019 vintage the blend is Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot.
The aroma is still youthful, packed with gorgeous dark fruit and herbal aroma - blackcurrant, black tea and bay leaf - alongside hints of charry oak. Good firmness and grip on the palate compliments the fragrant fruit perfectly and lively acidity carries it through a long finish. Will make for excellent drinking alongside roast venison or ribeye steaks.
