Florent and Marine bought the estate in 2016 when he gave up his job as an industrial welder to follow the dream of running a biodynamic vineyard. An 8 hectare estate of which 1.2 ha is planted Semillon, half old vine, half young. The vineyard is certified Organic.
Whilist the vast proportion of land is dedicated to red varieties, the white wines are some of the most underrated and represent good value for money. This Semillon is superbly well balanced by crisp acidity and a lovely length. Fleshy and round, it shows attractive citrus character, aromas of honey, beeswax, dried fruit and is accented by white blossom and yellow plum on the palate.
It works a treat with oysters, fish, shellfish or mild cheese such as Goat’s cheese.
