Domaine Ballot-Millot produces outstanding, under-the-radar wines that offer exceptional value. Now led by 15th-generation winemaker Charles Ballot, the estate has seen significant quality improvements while preserving its old vines. Charles has embraced organic (though uncertified) viticulture, eliminating herbicides, ploughing the soil, and reducing yields to enhance grape quality.
In the cellar, wines are barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts, aged for 12 months in oak (10-25% new), followed by six months in tank. The result is vibrant, mineral-driven wines with impressive intensity and terroir expression, remarkable given the soaring prices of top white Burgundy.
