Domaine Benoît Badoz is a family-run estate in the heart of the Jura, eastern France, a region famous for its unique wines and traditional winemaking methods. With a focus on expressing the character of the local terroir, the Domaine produces wines that showcase the Jura’s distinctive varieties and styles, with Vin Jaune among its most celebrated specialities.

Made in the traditional Vin Jaune style, Les Roussots undergoes an exceptionally long and meticulous ageing process in oak barrels and the distinctive 620ml bottle is a traditional feature of Vin Jaune, reflecting the wine’s extended ageing process. After six years and three months in barrel, a smaller volume remains due to evaporation, giving this unique Jura speciality its own unmistakable format. The result is a wine with a beautiful golden hue and remarkable aromatic complexity. Delicate aromas of honey, walnuts, almonds and curry lead into a smooth, velvety palate, where walnut and green apple flavours mingle with warming spice. Full-bodied and harmonious, it offers impressive depth and a long, characterful finish.

A classic match for a slice of mature Comté cheese, or try it alongside roast veal with citrus. This is a wine to savour now or lay down for the long term, with the potential to age for up to 100 years under suitable conditions.
