Established in 1860, Domaine de la Font-Sane is a historic family estate located in the heart of the Gigondas appellation. Véronique and Bernard Peysson continue a long winemaking tradition, while their son Romain leads the commercial side of the domaine. The 16-hectare vineyard benefits from five distinct soil types -clay, limestone, pebbly, sandy, alluvium, and sandy loam, giving the wines remarkable depth, balance, and definition.
Certified HVE since 2020, the estate is committed to sustainable viticulture and is exploring organic conversion. Vines are worked naturally, with inter-vine hoeing to avoid herbicides, organic compost to enrich the soil, and careful yield management through budding, leafing, and green harvesting. These practices result in wines that are pure, terroir-driven, and expressive of their origin.
The 2023 vintage delivers the signature power and finesse of Gigondas, showcasing ripe fruit, elegant structure, and a sense of place that reflects both the land and the family’s dedication.
