Olivier Leflaive studied at business school before heading to Paris, where he lived a rather bohemian life in the 1970s. He returned to Burgundy in ’81 to manage Domaine Leflaive with his uncle Vincent. After a 15 year hiatus as a negociant he returned to take up his share of the vines.
This walled vineyard boasts breathtaking views from the top of the Montagne de Beaune, overlooking some of Beaune’s finest Premier Crus, including Avaux, Aigrots, and Clos des Mouches. The 2022 vintage is a beautifully complete wine, characterized by intense freshness and a lively style. Its well-defined structure perfectly supports the lush texture and remarkable depth of fruit. With complex notes of ripe peach and pear, this wine exudes exceptional purity and delivers long-lasting, memorable flavours.
