When their parents retired in 2003, brothers Philippe and Bruno Colin agreed to split the family vineyards between them and each make their own wine. It turned out to be a fantastic decision, as both brothers have notable talent for winemaking in their own style. In 2021 Philippe passed on the majority of his vineyards to his own son, Simon, and now works just 5ha of vineyards alongside a small negociant line.
This 100% Chardonnay displays a light, sunny yellow with delicate green hues. The youthful and energetic nose reveals aromas of green apple, citrus, honey, and white flowers. Both the bouquet and palate showcase creamy notes from 11 months of oak barrel fermentation. Expect round, ripe flavours of peach, pineapple, and citrus, balanced by vibrant acidity. Subtle hints of spice and butter add depth to the long, elegant finish. This young and exciting wine is exceptionally delicious, pairing beautifully with citrus-infused dishes like scallops, baked lemon chicken, or creamy white fish.
