Dornier is a family-run estate located in the renowned “Golden Triangle” of the Upper Blaauwklippen Valley, sharing the area with respected neighbours like De Trafford, Waterford, and Keermont. The winery focuses on producing high-quality wines with minimal intervention, allowing the character of the land to speak through each bottle.
The blend is made up of Merlot (35%), Shiraz (32%), Cabernet Sauvignon (19%), Petit Verdot (7%), and Malbec (7%). Each variety was fermented and matured on its own in older French oak for 12 months before being brought together. A small portion that saw no oak was added to lend freshness and make the wine approachable earlier.
This is a full-bodied red, offering aromas of both red and dark berries, along with touches of freshly cracked pepper and gentle spice. Its concentrated fruit, lively acidity, and fine tannins lead into a long, satisfying finish.
