Edouard Brun is a small, family-owned Champagne House in the revered Grand Cru village of Aÿ. Founded in 1898, the House has stepped out of the shadow of history in recent years, evolving from a very traditional approach to a modern and fruit-driven style. The wines are all the better for it.
Prolonged bottle age is a hallmark of Brun's vintage wines, bringing secondary flavours to the fore. This 2004 spent five years in bottle before release and is showing evolved notes of honey, dried fruits and spice as a result. These marry up beautifully with softer stone fruit and floral notes to create a rich, intense, weighty wine that finishes with a flourish. Open one and celebrate in style.
