Evening Land has quickly become one of Oregon’s most compelling names for finely tuned, terroir-driven Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Under the guidance of Sashi Moorman (and previously Rajat Parr), the estate focuses on precision, purity and a deep respect for the vineyard, practicing biodynamic viticulture.
This wine comes exclusively from the renowned Seven Springs Vineyard in the Eola-Amity Hills, one of Oregon’s most celebrated appellations. Planted on red volcanic soils and positioned mid-slope with an east-facing aspect, the vineyard benefits from cooling influences that preserve freshness and structure. The striking label pays homage to Hokusai, reflecting the vineyard’s dramatic outlook towards Mount Hood.
Made from 100% estate-grown fruit, the wine is fermented in old barriques and puncheons, then aged for 11 months on the lees, building texture and complexity while maintaining clarity and lift.
Bright and precise, with notes of ripe yellow apple, citrus and subtle stone fruit, underpinned by a distinctive chalky minerality. The palate is tense and energetic, driven by nervy acidity, yet balanced by a gentle lees-derived richness. The finish is long, clean and beautifully focused.
Ideal with roast chicken, seafood, creamy sauces or soft cheeses, where its balance of freshness and texture can shine.
