Evening Land is based around the renowned Seven Springs Vineyard in Oregon’s Eola-Amity Hills, an east-facing site established in 1984 under the guidance of Burgundian winemaking legend Dominique Lafon. The vineyard’s iron-rich, rocky volcanic soils and cool Pacific influence create ideal conditions for producing elegant, finely detailed Pinot Noir.
The estate takes a distinctly terroir-driven approach, with individual parcels carefully expressed through the wines. The result is a Pinot Noir that combines Burgundian finesse with the distinctive freshness and character of Oregon.
This expressive Oregon Pinot Noir opens with vibrant aromas of red cherry, strawberry and raspberry, lifted by delicate notes of hibiscus, rose petal and a touch of orange zest. On the palate, bright red fruit is complemented by subtle spice, supple tannins and a beautifully fresh, energetic character. A small proportion of new oak adds gentle depth and complexity, seamlessly integrated without overshadowing the wine’s natural freshness.
