The Commune of Carema is high on the northern border of the alpine region Aosta in northern Piedmont. 100% Nebbiolo grown on glacial soil in this higher altitude region creates powerful wines with perfumed and delicate fruit.

Luigi Ferrando's Black Label is only produced in the best vintages. The wine is fermented in steel tanks and aging takes place in barriques and tonneau for a minimum of 2 years. The wine must then be aged in bottle for a minimum of 3 years. A dense wine with an intense bouquet of spicy fragrances and ripe red fruit, with fine hints of violets and berries.
