Elisa Freire Lobo began transformed her family vineyards; through organic and sustainable viticulture, focusing on soil health and biodiversity. The first vintage was produced in 2014, using only traditional Portuguese grape varieties.

Set in Oliveira do Hospital, the vineyards are surrounded by 4 mountains - Serra da Estrela, Colcurinho, Açor, and Caramulo. This high-altitude granite terrain underpins the elegance,
minerality, and refined balance for distinctive Dao character.

50% Encruzado, 35% Bical,15% Cerceal from vineyards planted at 580-600m, on granitic soils with sandy lines. Bordaleira sheep graze the vineyards, naturally controlling vegetative growth while fertilising the soil with their manure, enhancing its structure and fertility.

Skin contact for 12 hours. Spontaneous fermentation under controlled temperature. Aged in stainless steel tanks for a few months.

Very elegant mineral aromas with orchard fruit aromas, white flowers and dried herbs. The palate is delicate, filled with citrus drenched pear and apple flavours. The fruit is balanced by good acidity and a persistent minerality with a refreshing long finish.

Pair with most salads or fish dishes, as well as seafood, pasta and hard cheeses.
