After a successful career in business Brett Hayes followed his passion for wine and in 2014 purchased a small vineyard in the Barossa Valley. Enlisting the help of his friend, the outstanding winemaker Andrew Seppelt (of Torbreck fame), in just ten years they have established themselves as one of the region's most exciting names. Alongside their organically farmed estate vineyard they source fruit from selected growers around the valley. Seppelt's winemaking is a minimal intervention style, aiming to allow the vineyard and variety to show through as much as possible in the finished wine.

Grenache selected from 3 different old-vine sites in different Barossa sub-regions, in a vintage described as the best in a decade or more. Typical of great Grenache, it balances fullness with freshness and has a wonderful perfume.

The vibrant nose expresses notes of fresh raspberries, red plums, blood orange and tamarind, with superb concentration. The palate is full-bodied but with lovely fine tannins and excellent acidity. A very fine wine but with lots of drinkability, and a great example of why Grenache from South Australia is garnering a lot of attention right now.
