‘Kaalvoet Meisie’ is the Afrikaans word for ‘Barefoot Girl’, which alludes to this wine being the lighter style of Sauvignon Blanc from HPF.

The grapes are grown in Sondagskloof, near the coastal town of Hermanus (HPF - near the renowned producers Restless River.). Geographically and climatically close to Elgin, it boasts a cool climate, by South African standards.

Tropical fruit with classic green Sauvignon Blanc notes.

Dominant yellow fruit aromas like peach and pineapple along with undertones of pacific fruit (star fruit, dragon fruit). It has broad acidity which carries an intensity of flavour, beautifully complimented by a subtle minerality.

Interesting, foody and complex.

This wine would be a treat with a creamy tarragon chicken dish.
