After taking on the family farm in Isonzo, Friuli, Silvio Jermann developed this vineyard into arguably the most famous in the region. Their production is sustainable and structured around biodiversity, using only organic compounds in the vineyard and cultivating a variety of crops and wildlife around their vineyards.

Capo Martino is a single vineyard wine, from a hill in Dolegna del Collio. The south-facing marl slope is planted to a mixture of local white varieties including Friulano, Ribolla Gialla, Picolit and Malvasia Istriana, which are all harvested and vinified together in the traditional way. A short maceration on the skins precedes fermentation and ageing in oak barrels, before the wine is bottled two years after harvest.

Beautiful golden yellow in colour, brilliant and luminous. The nose is intense and complex, with notes of ripe fruit – Mediterranean and tropical – and dried flowers, barely touched by a subtle veil of vanilla. Apples, bananas, hazelnuts, raw honey and passionflower stand out. On the palate, it’s pure velvet, showing perfect balance of flavours, delicate aromatic qualities, endless persistence. One of Italy's most sought after white wines and for very good reason.
