L’Arco is an exciting project led by a serious young winemaker named Luca Fedrigo. Protege of legendary Amarone producer, Giuseppe Quintarelli
Fedrigo’s philosophy revolves around respecting nature by nourishing the land, practicing organic, abstaining from herbicides or pesticides entirely since 2004, and employing natural pest control methods. Within the winery, chemicals are omitted, with only minimal additions of SO2 in the wine where necessary. Luca does almost everything himself, both in the vineyard and in the winery, with assistance from just a handful of employees.
60% Corvina, 30% Rondinella, and 10% Molinara, this Ripasso is aged for one year in Slavonian oak barrels. The wine is made without fining and undergoes only a delicate filtering, preserving its natural texture and depth. The nose reveals black tea, smoke, and ripe dark fruit aromas.
On the palate, it is concentrated yet super supple, with more weight and roundness than a typical Valpolicella. Layers of blackberry, plum, and gentle spice flow into a long, polished finish. Very well made and deliciously textured, this Ripasso balances power, elegance, and finesse.
