Eric Charruau and his son, Leo, farm 30 hectares of vineyards around Parnay, near Saumur. The wines are made the most natural way possible, using organic (and biodynamic) practices to protect the soil and promote biodiversity without compromising the complex Saumur terroir.
The Cabernet Franc grapes are from 35- to 40-year-old vines on alluvial terraces overlooking the Loire.
An approachable Loire Cabernet Franc it is a delicate, with cassis and raspberries, beautifully fresh with supple tannins and a smoky finish.
