Each year, the excellent Lustau sherry house release a trio of Fino sherries from three different locations to show the diversity of style influenced by their unique origins. They are all bottled 'En Rama' (unfiltered) which captures more of the true flavour of each solera, giving Finos of enhanced richness and complexity.
Coming from further inland in Jerez itself, this is the most full-bodied of the three with a deeper golden colour. Alluring aromas of buttered bread, saltine crackers and baked apples give an impression of warmth and ripeness. The palate retains the essential Fino dryness but with a more rounded mouthfeel packed with mineral, yeasty and roasted nut flavours. The Fino de Jerez is a superb pairing for cured meats and stuffed olives.
