Dirk Niepoort is at the helm of this top winery, based in the Douro, Portugal. Their family were famed for their high quality port production and in more recent years, Dirk and his sons have lead the way with their modern and sustainable approaches to non-fortified wines in the Douro Valley.
The Redoma white wine is made up from native varietals, grown in schist soils. Once harvested the grapes are spontaneously fermented in barrel with no malolactic encouragement.
2020 was a good year for white wines in the Douro. A juicy wine with flavours of citrus, orange blossom and stone fruits with a fresh acidity and saline minerality.
