Being the first vineyard to be planted on the Knights Valley Estate in Sonoma California, Les Pavot ('The Poppies') remains the signature wine of Peter Michael, a winemaker recognised for producing some of the most sought after bordeaux blends in the region. Spanning 49 acres, Les Pavots ascends to an elevation of nearly 1,400 feet.

A blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Cabernet Franc, 13% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot, this fabulous vintage is aged in mostly Taransaud French oak barrels. An outstanding wine, loaded with plum, blackcurrant and black raspberry fruit layered with graphite and truffle notes. The wine is charming and powerful with sweet, velvety tannin, and a long, full-bodied finish. It should drink well for at least two decades.
