Pfaffl is a family-owned winery located in Austria's Weinviertel region, known for producing exceptional Grüner Veltliner wines. The winery is run by Roman Pfaffl and his sister Heidi, who took over from their parents in 1983. They have since expanded the winery to include over 110 hectares of vineyards, with a focus on sustainable and organic farming practices.
Wien 1 is a blend of Riesling, Gruner and Pinot Bianco.
The blend is greater than the sum of its parts. It has freshness and richness, with good minerality. The finish is clean and lively, with a lingering citrus note.
