The wine has a wild positivity, drive and a plushness of fruit expected from Gamay, cleverly tethered by stemsy fermentation and aging in older barrels giving the wine Pyrenees
warmth but restraint.
Grafted over Shiraz vines in late 2022. Handpicked and fermented though whole bunch, carbonic maceration for 7 days, prior to destemming to open ferments. Rested in used 500L French oak.
Prized volatile esters encircle aromas of raspberry and passionfruit. Well-defined raspberry and strawberry build momentum on the palate with cacao bringing complexity. The mid -weight tannin matrix leans into this idea with the mouth feel of chocolate. Great unison between texture, weight and fruit length.
