Quinta do Piloto is the founding estate of the Sivipa group, and their biggest contributor. They supply grapes to Sivipa, but also make their own wines. These estate wines allow a finer expression of the terroir and grape varieties.
A beautiful white made using Sauvignon Blanc and local variety Maria Gomes (aka Fernao Pires). From a single vineyards area, named Vineyard of Sparrows after the local inhabitants, made very simply in stainless steel to retain vibrancy and freshness of fruit. Lovely citrus and vegetal character from the Sauvignon, and stone fruit and florals from the Maria Gomes, plus minerality and good acidity from the terroir.
