Quinta do Piloto is the founding estate of the Sivipa group, and their biggest contributor. They supply grapes to Sivipa, but also make their own wines. These estate wines allow a finer expression of the terroir and grape varieties.
Made from local varieties; Alicante Bouschet, Touriga Nacional, and Castelao.
The grapes are sourced from a single vineyards area, named Vineyard of Sparrows after the local inhabitants. This classic Portuguese blend is foot-trodden in lagar and combines depth of fruit character and concentration from Touriga and Alicante, alongside structure and acidity from the Castelao. Fleshy plum and dark berry fruit, earthy, herby notes, and great balance between ripeness and freshness.
