Raka Quinary 2021 is a refined Bordeaux-style red blend from the Klein River region of South Africa. Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec, it showcases a deep plum colour with enticing aromas of blackberry, ripe plum, spicy notes, and cedar, complemented by a subtle cigar box undertone.
The palate is well-balanced, offering rich, mouth-filling fruit, elegant oak influence, and silky tannins that add to its complexity and structure. The grapes are carefully hand-picked and sorted before undergoing fermentation in stainless steel tanks with gentle skin contact. The wine is then aged in a selection of French oak barrels to enhance its depth and character.
Recognized for its excellence, Raka Quinary 2021 has been awarded Double Gold in the Top 100 SA Wines and received 4 Stars in the 2021 Platter’s Wine Guide.
