The "Raza" White from Quinta da Raza is a fresh and vibrant Vinho Verde with a bright citrus hue, fruity aromas, and a well-balanced acidity. At 11.5% you can have a second bottle too! It’s a wonderful wine for drinking by itself or with oily fish, salads or anything spicy as it tackles heat well.
Established in 1791, Quinta da Raza is now run by Diogo and Mafalda, who cultivate 40 hectares of vineyards in the Celorico do Basto sub-region. Located in southern Vinho Verde near the Douro, their vineyards sit at 250m altitude, benefiting from distinct soils and a sheltered climate. Their wines, including this classic Vinho Verde, showcase exceptional fruit quality, freshness, and elegance. The grapes are destemmed, gently pressed at low pressure, and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks before undergoing filtration and cold stabilisation to preserve purity and brightness.
