Schramsberg have a very strong claim to be America's foremost producers of sparkling wine, having specialised in traditional method bubbles since 1965 and winning countless awards along the way. Based in Napa Valley they source Chardonnay grapes from cool climate vineyards across Northern California to produce this fine and elegant Blanc de Blancs.
In 2020 they were able to harvest all of the fruit for their sparkling wines before the Glass fire swept through Napa County, meaning fortunately this exquisite wine could still be produced.
It is a lean and dry style, with sherbert lemons, minerality and subtle toastiness. The fine bead and fresh acid ensure this makes a superb aperitif right now, but these vintage sparkling wines can also age beautifully for many years after release.
