The more than 1,200-year-old Seehof is located in the middle of the old town centre of the Rhenish-Hessian municipality of Westhofen, directly at the source of the Seebach. In the fifth generation, the Fauth family runs the 17.5 hectare winery.
Not your typical grape variety found in this region, however that makes it no less incredible. The nose is dominated by toast and vanilla notes from time spent in barrel. Despite the vibrancy on the nose, this Burgundy style still appears extremely fresh on the palate and comes with a great acidity. Also very dense and creamy, with the minerality of the limestone penetrating more and more. Overall good balance of spice, fruit and acidity with a long, salty finish.
