This is a silky smooth Pinot Noir. It comes from Bulgaria. Bulgarian wines used to be very popular in the 1980s, then they waned away for some reason. The climate is good for wine making. This is very soft and juicy. This is one of the lighter bodied wines on the list, and could be served slightly chilled.

Stick your nose in this and you get that mouthwatering, autumn leaves, smoky sous bois, minerally pinot perfume, wild strawberry, red cherry, orange rind, sandalwood-clove hints. The palate is mellow and supple, orange-inflected red berry fruit, hint of vanilla wood spice, sweetly suggestive mercurial pinot style all the way, autumnal with soft tannins and a fine backbone of acidity. Yet again, a really moreish, impressive pinot from Bulgaria. Hats off.
