Valley View Winery is one of Southern Oregon's pioneering wine estates. The winery traces its roots to the historic Valley View vineyard first established by photographer and horticulturist Peter Britt in the 1850s near Jacksonville, Oregon. After a long hiatus, the winery was revived in 1972 by the Wisnovsky Family , who helped re-establish commercial winemaking in the Rogue and Applegate Valleys. Today, the estate is led by brothers Mark Wisnovsky and Michael Wisnovsky , with a focus on sustainable vineyard practices, minimal-intervention winemaking, and expressing the unique terroir of Southern Oregon.
Bright ruby in colour, this Pinot Noir opens with aromas of wild strawberry, red cherry, raspberry and rose petal, layered with subtle notes of forest floor, baking spice and a hint of cedar. The palate is silky and medium-bodied, showing vibrant red berry fruit balanced by fresh acidity and fine, supple tannins. Gentle earthy undertones and delicate oak spice add complexity, leading to a long, elegant finish with lingering cherry and savoury notes.
Elegant, fruit-driven and expressive, with a balance of freshness and complexity typical of premium Oregon Pinot Noir.
