Valisto is made with 100% Barbara from 130 year old vines which grow at the high altitude of 2300m in Cafayate.
Extensive, gentle pumping over brings very deep colour but the extraction is exceptionally well handled, making for a mid-to-full weight wine possessing a truly silky, sensuous texture, with very fine tannins and a big, open, honest, long finish.
No oak influence here. This is a lively and punchy with blueberries, dark cherry and blackberry a heady wine, a turbo driven version of the Italian Piedmont classic. A complex wine with herbal sarsaparilla notes and stoney minerality.
