Waterkloof Sauvignon Blanc is only made in the very best vintages in South Africa, and unusually for this grape, it is a wine capable of ageing.
This is made from 25 year old vines with minimal intervention, their gravitational winery allows the wine to be made with as little interference as possible. It has a long slow fermentation with wild yeasts, in old oak barrels.
This has resulted in a complex wine, with lots going on. It's floral, slightly honeyed and quite rich. It has a lovely texture and long finish.
