The Wholly Spirits Company blends fruity Speyside whiskies with smokey Islay malts. After working together in the UK wine industry for many years, colleagues Laurie (a Scotsman) and Alistair (an Englishman) fulfilled their daydream of creating their own whisky. They have created a fusion of the subtle creamy, fruity Speyside notes with the briny and smoky qualities of Islay malts, displaying an elegant and complex blended malt that is, in their words, approachable but ‘serious.’ It has touches of lemon curd and vanilla with a hint of coastal smoke and ripe apples this will be great on its own but also in a whisky sour.
