Jacquesson Cuvee 737 DT
2 brothers have been working hard for 25 years to make jacquesson one of the best producers in champagne. They have vineyards in the Grande Vallee de la Marne and in the Cote des Blancs. All vinification is done in oak casks, they don’t do any racking and leave the wines to develop using the lees.
For this range of wines they are a blend, the number 737 is an indication of the vintage that most of the fruit comes from. What makes the 737 different is the 30% of the wine from previous vintages, this is mainly 2009 which was a warm year. This warmer weather gives the wine its iconic flavours of candied lemon, marzipan and smoking hay, these richer and rounder flavours give it softness and a next level of texture. All vinification is done in oak casks, they don’t do any racking and leave the wines to develop using the lees.
