BEER NOTES: Possibly the definitive Belgian kriek from this much-vaunted traditional lambic producer. Whole fresh cherries are crammed into oak casks of spontaneously fermented beer, which is then aged for two years. The result is a ruby red beer with a pinkish tinged head, singing with sweet sour cherry flavour, background wood notes and a pleasing tart finish.
FOOD & BEER: Classic accompaniment to rabbit and duck. Refreshing tartness also cuts through chocolate and cream-based desserts.
