A great nose of exotic spices and almost red fruits combine with more classic caramel overtones. With great acidity the wine is light on its feet and almost refreshing.
An amazing story of a working man turned Bodega owner, and now the regions only estate with a female Patriarch El Maestro produce wines of proper class and quality. Situated in a high bluff above Jerez, they capture some very useful winds that keep things cool and combined with longer ageing, this offers wines that often appear lighter, but have wonderful concentration and power. The PX is no exception, light in colour yet deliciously complex starting with classic raisin which grows into nuts, figs, leather and tobacco notes. One for some quality blue cheese or on its own by the fire.
