Now in its fifth generation, Domaine Corsin has been making wines in Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé since 1864.
'Aux Chailloux' is a single vineyard with north-easterly exposure. The vines are rooted in clay-limestone soils at an altitude between 200 and 280 metres, around the village of Solutré. The `Aux Chailloux` comes from vines which are 60 years old on average. This single vineyard is a proposed premier cru site included in the future classication of Pouilly-Fuissé.
This wine is pale golden in colour with intense aromas of stone fruit and white flowers, intertwined with notes of toast and oak. The palate is powerful with layered notes of peach, lemon pith and golden pear balanced by bright acidty which drives the long, rich finish.
