With vineyards situated in a tranquil valley under the Klein Drakenstein mountains in Paarl, South Africa, this wine is truly spectacular with every vintage having a different character from the other.
This particular wine has a deep, purple colour, a rich, black berry driven nose with hints of white pepper and red plum. The olfactory sensation leaves a veil of charcoal, faint liquorice, making way for blueberries, cassis, and nuances of sweet, dried herbs.
The palate is much more complex, perfectly layering berry fruit with spices of pepper, cinnamon and clove. The soft entry on the palate is carried by supple tannins, fresh acidity and finishes with an unexpectable length.
