Mittnacht were early pioneers of the biodynamic movement and the first to be certified, as such, in Alsace. Their Pinot Blanc is actually a blend of 40% Pinot Blanc, 60% Pinot Auxerrois from 40 year old vines. The soils are limestone and marl which produces a stony, mouthwatering finish to the wine. Indigenous yeasts are used in the fermentation and the wine is aged in old barrels lending a little richness to this elegant zesty wine.
